As the most anticipated movie of the summer finally hits theatres on April 26. Endgame takes place five years after the affects of Infinity War where Thanos snapped his fingers, and many fans were left wondering what would happen and what the heroes would do to defeat Thanos. This was the last movie for Iron Man, and Captain America the original duo and creators of The Avengers/Marvel Cinematic Universe and the final conclusion for Phase 3. This was the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.

Spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen the movie yet. Avengers Endgame had a big impact when it was released, breaking lots of box office records making $357,115,007 opening weekend, $1,223,641,414 opening weekend worldwide and being the top movie in spring of all time. Also passing Avatar’s domestic money of $760,507,625 by making $771,368,375.

As Avengers Endgame was the most anticipated movie leading towards 2019 since Infinity War many Marvel fans couldn’t contain their emotions or excitement when Marvel released the first teaser trailer back in December 2018 revealing very few things from the movie and also revealing the title of Avengers last movie which many fans had already knew: Endgame.

Steven Alvarez, a Junior at Haynes, said, “I feel like that the movie took a different direction based of what the teaser showed.”

He also added, “ I feel like the movie should have what was shown on the teaser instead of cutting some parts out from the finished product.”

Avengers: Endgame had various scenes shocking many Marvel fans, seeing some of our favorite heroes die and seeing the original trio of Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor fight Thanos in the final battle. We also got to have all the dusted people from Infinity War come back to life, and finally got to hear Captain America’s iconic line, “Avengers Assemble” after he picked up Thor’s powerful hammer, Mjolnir.

Brayan Ramos a Junior at Haynes said, “ It was awesome seeing Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America fight together for the last time as this was their last movie together.”

He also added, “ When Captain America picked up Thor’s hammer and later said his iconic line and seeing all the dusted Avengers come back to life I felt chills come down my spine and lots of excitement as my favorite hero came back which is Spider-Man.”

As many Marvel fans were in grief of Tony Stark dying, others weren’t as this was teased over the past few years already and Endgame had met lots of people expectations and others thinking it could’ve been better but still were amazed by what they saw.

Andre Lindsey, a teacher at Haynes, said, “ I believe it was right for the death of Tony Stark/Iron Man. The death served as a heroic moment for the character and the series. Dr. Strange indicated that it was only one true way to defeat Thanos.

He also added, “ Overall, the movie was great it brought a lot of emotion, triumph, and joy. The final battle was great it brought together all the characters from the past and present and it created a battle in which the Avengers prevailed.”

As Tony Stark said in Endgame, “Everybody wants a happy ending. Right? But it doesn’t always roll that way. Maybe this time. I hoping if you play this back, it’s in celebration. I hope families are reunited, I hope we get it back and something like a normal version of the planet has been restored if there ever was such a thing. Then again that’s the hero gig. Part of the journey is the end… I Love You 3,000.”
