If you haven’t heard yet, there is a Popeyes craze going on! Popeyes chicken sandwich is all throughout social media. If you happen to look on any social media source, you’ll see, “I want to try Popeyes chicken.” or “This isn’t good enough to be talked about.” or maybe even “This hit the spot.” Popeyes is also going back and forth with other chicken restaurants about who has the best chicken. It started when Popeyes posted a picture of their new chicken sandwich. It only took one tweet to start a war!

“Chicken. Brioche. Pickles. New. Sandwich. Popeyes. Nationwide. So. Good. Forgot. How. Speak. In. Complete. Sandwiches. I mean, sentences. “ – Popeyes Chicken (@PopeyesChicken) on August 12, 2019

Then a week later, Chick-Fil-A had responded to Popeyes new chicken sandwich. They indirectly said that their chicken sandwiches were “original”.

“Bun + Chicken + Pickles = all the love for the original” – Chick-fil-A, Inc. (@ChickfilA) on August 19, 2019

Of course Popeyes had a come back a few hours later. “… y’all good?”

Then, multiple other chicken places add their jokes and comments into this social media beef. Shake Shack had jumped into the war with a joke.

“If you’re lookin’ for a chicken sandwich (without the beef ;)), you know where to find us.” -SHAKE SHACK (@shakeshack) on August 19,2019

Wendy’s had also jumped in this social media war between Chick-fil-A and Popeyes just for fun.

“Y’all out here fighting about which of these fools has the second best chicken sandwich.” – WENDY’S SPICY NUGGETS ARE BACK!!! (@Wendys) on August 19, 2019

Popeyes responded : “Sounds like someone just ate one of our biscuits, cause y’all looking thirsty.”

Wendy’s said: “ lol, guess that means the food’s as dry as the jokes”

These food places entered a friendly competition to see who has the best chicken sandwich. They joked with the other competitors over who’s chicken sandwich was better than the other. The argument over social media eventually made their sales rate go up. The argument was basically an advertisement. It made everyone want to go try each and everyone of them out and see what the talk was all about. The real question that we all want to know is: “Did their chicken sandwich live up to all the hype?”
